Marena supports positive impact organizations to use Mapbox tools.

She manages non-profit partnerships and curates pro-bono volunteering opportunities. Marena loves to explore how digital maps can support community organizing, data visualization, storytelling, campaigns, and crowdsourcing projects.

Marena grew up in Nova Scotia and studied environmental sciences and land management before working with communities on land use planning and land protection initiatives. She joined Mapbox to further her exploration of geospatial tools and to support more organizations to use maps for positive impact.
