Welcome to The Maple Square

Finding a problem brings an opportunity to create solutions and drive change. I have been fortunate to enjoy many opportunities to share my passion and my story on stages and at events over the past few years. Now it’s time to create many more of those opportunities for many more women. Why? Because on the stage and behind the mic at events about data and technology there are still far too few women being heard and having a chance to share their stories.

In my network I have a long list of fantastic females who already speak at events or who are just waiting for their opportunity to do so. And far beyond my own connections there are plenty of women who should be considered by event organizers and panel moderators. I know it can be difficult to find a diverse range of speakers, especially when you’re not looking for a keynote speaker but for people delivering technical workshops, impulse talks and who can be part of your next panel discussion. With The Maple Tree I want to create a space where all these women can be found and where you can discover the talents they have and the specific expertise they can bring.

I invite you to return to this page time and again because our portfolio of speakers will continue to grow every single week and I can’t wait to see this community grow and flourish.

What can you expect on this blog? Different perspectives. You’ll hear from me in regular intervals about building communities around data and analytics. You’ll find guest articles from our speakers as well resources for speakers and those looking for speakers. And finally, we’ll include book and blog recommendations regularly to help people keep their skills sharp, find inspiration and continue to inspire others through their journey in the data and technology industry.

Please join the conversation by leaving a comment below this article, I’d love to hear from you.
